Why are guys sweet one day and jerks the next? And they are quick to blame their childish actions on the female. Are they just scared of commitment, not ready, not into the female, or just a pure jerk?

All of the above.
But sometimes I do the same thing and I'm a girl. I don't think it should be limited to just guys.
