The record for multiple births that survived infancy is currently held by Nadya Suleman of La Habra, CA, who, on Jan. 26, 2009, gave birth to octuplets with the aid of in vitro fertilization. As far as I can tell, all of the children are still alive.

She previously had six other children by in vitro, in spite of the fact that she was not able to support herself and was basically unfit to be a mother.

Your tax dollars and mine went to pay for her fertility treatments, and for the super-expensive peri-natal and post-natal care the children required, and we will keep paying for all 14 children until they turn 18. The dipshit who approved fertility treatments for this broad deserves a stiff one where the sun don't shine (no lube).

Some women have give birth to nonuplets, but none of them survived.

The woman who has given birth to the most children in her lifetime was the wife of a Russian peasant called Feodor Vassilyev. Her first name has been forgotten. She gave birth 27 times, giving birth to 69 children in all, 67 of which survived infancy. She gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, 7 sets of triplets and 4 sets of quadruplets. This happened between 1725 and 1765, long before any fertility treatments existed.
