I want my bloke to be wider but not longer. Are there ways to make it feel wider?

Yes, practice Keigel exercises to tighten your own muscles up and he'll feel very big to you. You can do this when you urinate. Stopping and starting the urine stream is exercising those muscles. Learn to do that when you are not urinating and practice it once a day for 5-10 minutes (and girls can do it any time they want, any where they want) and you'll be much tighter and he'll feel much bigger the stronger your muscles get.
Alternatively, you could find another very well endowed guy to have on the side to make up the difference.
