yes, because the root system is the heart of the plant. it can be done, i have myself but you have to nurse it back to health its like a 50 percent chance. I wouldnt advise to do this.marijuana plants are tough though they can handle drought and a lot of stress but only so much. if i were gonna rip a plant out of the ground i would take a shovel and pull out all of the dirt atleast 6in. around the base of the plant
